This has been the summer of crazy storms here in AZ. First we had the haboob, then a microburst, not to mention a longer rainy/humid season than normal.
This is a picture of the Haboob that came in July. It looked like something from a movie. It seemed so surreal to look at a solid wall of clouds, moving ominously toward you, almost as if it was saying, "I am here to engulf you."
Another day the dust was swirling like a horizontal tornado as I drove home from picking the kids up from school.
On this particular day, the storm came in, but only over our neighborhood. I know the picture is not that great, but as you can see the blue skies were on either side of the storm cloud, as far as you could see. (Some farmer must have really prayed hard for rain)
As you can see the girls did not care...
in fact, Brynlee loved trying to drink the rain...
and M'Kayla found every puddle she could...
even though the storm season has been crazy, at least we still have nice warm rains here in AZ.
